It's almost the end of January and I have no clue where the month has gone. I hope everyone is having a great 2010 so far. It's been up and down like a roller coaster ride here at Ribbons Roses and More. We've been sick, had a hard freeze and now we have " Spring" weather. On The Second Day of Christmas... My true Love Gave to me a birdhouse for the turtle doves that are freezing in this record Texas freeze. Yes, we had snow in Texas. Not for long and it didn't last but it was beautiful.
I know the doves will be nice and cozy in this one yr. round. Bet they can't wait for spring,LOL. So Romantic and glitzy with German Glass glitter covering the roof and Swarovski rhinestones added for some pinkalicious sparkle.

On the 1st day of Christmas my true love gave to me...A Partridge in a Pear Tree. The partridge in a pear tree is Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, whose birthday we celebrate on December 25, the first day of Christmas. In the song, Christ is symbolically presented as a mother partridge that feigns injury to decoy predators from her helpless nestlings, recalling the expression of Christ's sadness over the fate of Jerusalem: "Jerusalem! Jerusalem! How often would I have sheltered you under my wings, as a hen does her chicks, but you would not have it so . . . ." (Luke 13:34)
